1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. Similar technologies include localStorage, which we use on Decide for me.
2. What storage technologies do we use?
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These are essential for the site to work and remember your preferences. They are stored in your browser's localStorage; only the language also goes in a first-party cookie, so that entering through decidefor.me takes you to your language:

Third-party technical cookies (no consent required)
Two services we use may store a technical cookie, which is not used to track you or for advertising:
FCCDCF: stored by Google's consent message to remember your advertising choice.cf_clearanceand__cf_bm: stored by Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, only when it needs to check that a visit comes from a person and not a bot.
Functional (no consent required)
The list games (decision wheel, horse race, plinko, case opening, gacha machine, name picker, slot machine, team picker, random order, tournament bracket, decision tournament, bed picker, truth or dare) remember the names you type (azar-names) so you have them when you come back and in any of them. Some also keep their own state: the tournament bracket its matchups, the name picker who has been drawn, the dice roller the rolls you save the bed picker the beds you set up Secret Santa its own list (not shared with the others) and the draw, so links can be sent again, and truth or dare the category, your questions, the score and the cards already played, the random letter generator your categories, the time you chose and the letters already drawn, and the task assigner your list of tasks. Opening a Secret Santa link keeps its result only while the tab is open. The slot machine and the bingo caller only keep their game while the tab is open. Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent to any server.
Analytics (cookieless)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is anonymous and does not use cookies. No consent required.
In the future we may add Google Analytics, which does use cookies. In that case we will ask for your explicit consent before loading them.
Advertising (with consent)
We use Google AdSense to serve ads and keep the service free. Advertising cookies are only enabled if you consent in the notice; until then AdSense works without them. With your permission, AdSense may set the following third-party cookies (from google.com, doubleclick.net):
NID/__Secure-1PSID/__Secure-3PSID: identify your browser to personalize ads. Duration: 6 months.IDE: measure ad effectiveness and prevent showing you the same ad multiple times. Duration: up to 13 months.ANID: used by Google to show ads across Google properties. Duration: 2 years.__gads/__gpi: ad measurement and frequency capping. Duration: up to 13 months.
If you consent to advertising, AdSense will be able to show personalized ads (based on your interests, history, etc.). If you reject, AdSense will still be able to show non-personalized ads (based only on page content and your approximate location), since the site needs to be monetized. This is handled via Google's Consent Mode v2.

3. How to manage cookies
You can manage or delete cookies and localStorage data from your browser settings. Guides for the main browsers:
If you block all cookies and local data, some features (remembering theme, muting sound, saved configurations) will stop working but the rest of the site will continue to work normally.
